Tourism Northern Ireland operates a voluntary star grading scheme (1-5 stars) for tourist accommodation businesses including hotels, B&Bs, guest houses, self-catering, hostels and guest accommodation. Participating businesses receive a star grade, one-to-one advice from Quality Advisors, a written improvement report, and access to Tourism NI marketing support. Note: while grading is voluntary, all tourist accommodation providers must hold a Tourism NI certificate to legally trade.
