Traineeships are government-backed training programmes where businesses offer work experience placements of at least 70 hours to young people aged 16–24, helping them become work ready for employment or apprenticeships. Employers who complete a placement of over 70 hours can claim a £1,000 incentive payment. This programme is promoted through the Marches Growth Hub for businesses in the Shropshire and Marches area.
